It stretches from the slopes of Campo dei Fiori to Lake
Varese.
Around the 1000s there were three churchs: San Giulio, according
the tradition built by the Saint before he went to Orta, S. Ambrogio
and S. Martino, with the baptistery disjoined by the church.
Around the 1170, at the hamlet of the Fontanone di Molina, Alberto
da Brignano founded the Ospedale dei poveri (The Poors' Hospital)
that in 1400 became an isolation hospital.
