It is the only Municipality of the Varese Province to be totally
included into the Campo dei Fiori Natural Park that has its
seat here.
In the past it was the pasture of the Castello Cabiaglio shepherds
that settled here and made cheese. Today it is a well-known holiday
resort, both in Summer and in Winter, for collection of
mush-rooms and chestnuts, for fishing in its lake
and for cross-country skiing.
The Brinzio erratic boulder, one of the Campo dei
Fiori natural monuments, lies in the southern part of the village.
