It rises on the hills stretching between the Lake Varese and the Lake Comabbio, at the end of the Bodia Valley. Among its hamlet, in the past Tordera was the most important as testify the remains of two medieval towers.

At Villadosia has been recently discovered close to the cemetery a necropolis of 15 tomb, one of them fully preserved.

- the Church of San Biagio, rebuilt in 1793, with a fine altar in Carrara grey polychrome marble
