Comerio

Placed at the feet of the Campo dei Fiori, it offers one of the most charming views on the Varese Lake, the Lake Maggiore and the Alps.

The first news of Comerio goes back to the pastoral visits of the Saint Carl Borromeo, when he established that the hamlets of Voltorre and Oltrona joined to Comerio, that became independent parish church.

To Comerio moved from Milan the Borghi family and with it Giovanni Borghi who established the Ignis, today Whirlpool, famous factory of electric appliances and sponsor of many team, from the basketball to the cycling to the boxing.
