Duno

This little village of the Valcuvia valley stands on the slope of the Mount S. Martino.

From the churchyard of the parish church dedicated to SS. Giuliano e Badilissa we can see a beautiful view on the Lake Lugano and the right side of the Lake Maggiore

In 1938 was devoted the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Rosario known also as Temple of the Italian Physicians.

On the top of the Mount San Martino (1087 mt) rises the little church of San Martino in Culmine, from 1903 national monument, that it was ruined by bombing during the Second World War and rebuilt in 1958 as the original one. From here we have a fine panorama on the Lake Maggiore and the Valtravaglia and Valcuvia valleys. Not far from, there is the Sacrario dei Caduti in memory of the victims of the battle fighted in 1943.
