Placed on the right side of the Olona river, Fagnano preserves in its center the medieval ring structure. Many archeological founds testify that it was inhabited by Romans, as all the surrounding area near the Olona river.
In the past, it was a famous farming center and there was a well-known cattle-market at the feast of the patron saint, S. Gaudenzio.
