At the right of the Arno stream, in the southern area of the Parco del Ticino, Ferno stands close to the international airport of Malpensa.
Longobards and Romans lived here as testify some documents such as the Codex Diplomaticus Langobardiae and the Liber Notitiae Sanctorum Mediolani, written by Goffredo da Bussero
in the XIII century.
To see :
- the Romanic church of S. Maria with frescoes dated XIV
century
- the parish church dedicated to S. Martino and Sant'Antonio Abate,
that preserve the Piantanida family vault that lived here from XIV century.
