It is a pleasant village, placed on a tightened morainic terrace on the slope of the Monte Marzio (878 mt.); the valley, rich in forests and meadows, is turned towards the Lake of Lugano.
In the outskirtses we can find many panoramic points with splendid sights on the Lake of Lugano, Brusimpiano, Morcote and the Swiss mountain, such as Monte Lema, Monte San Salvatore, and on the Valcuvia valley.
The parish church dedicated to San Sebastiano has been built in 1740 on the right side of the parish house in place of the old church placed in front of the house itself and datef XVI century.
