As well as other village in the districts, in ancient times was probably inhabited by the Etruscan as testify many archaeological findings at the earlier Cascina delle Corde place, today Buon Gesù.
At the Roman Age, there was a post with a presidium that was at twentyfive miles from Mediolanum. Many finds, such as coins, funeral urns, jars, crockeries, swords, saw the light, specially along the bank of the Olona River.
At Middle Ages, it was at the head of the Olgiate's Parish embraced all the village along the river and in the neighbourhood. But in 1583 the clerical jurisdiction have been moved to Busto Arsizio and in 1784 the civilian one to Legnano, due the extreme poverty of the village.
