Lake Biandronno
The lake was once joined to the near Lake Varese. A 20 mt. withdrawal
of the waters at first caused the separation from the Lake Varese
and finally its transformation in 130 hectares of marshland with
a stretch of reed beds and sedge fields, with some pools surrounding
by hygrophilic woods and meadows.
The flora and fauna are similar to those of the near Palude
Brabbia.
From 1984, this area is Regional Nature Reserve.
